Pedro Reali
For me, to travel is to learn that we are one among many others. Travel broadens our senses to appreciate the beauty and importance of each single part of this remarkable web of life on the planet we call home.
Expedition Leader Pedro Reali
Pedro discovered his passion for wildlife at a young age. His love of nature, the ocean, and the forests of Brazil led him to pursue a Biological Sciences degree to further expand his understanding of the natural world and its wonders. During his studies and field expeditions, Pedro saw firsthand the threats facing the world’s biodiversity and soon realized his life’s work would involve conservation. Through his hands-on experiences with a variety of species—from marine turtles and whales to Jaguars and geckos—he found education to be his greatest ally for raising awareness and inspiring people to love and value nature. His passion for wildlife and learning motivated him to explore different corners of the world, engaging in conservation programs, supporting research projects, working alongside local communities, and guiding people to witness the amazing natural wonders of our planet. Recognizing the power of ecotourism as a conservation tool, Pedro honed his expertise escorting whale watching and scuba diving experiences, leading trips to Botswana’s Okavango Delta for students in conservation studies, and more extensively, monitoring Jaguars and guiding travelers to Brazil through the world’s largest tropical wetland—the extraordinary Pantanal.
"I am very grateful to have travelled with Pedro—he often pointed out wildlife that I would otherwise not have noticed. His knowledge of nature, and passion for it, really shows. He’s a fantastic and thoughtful guide, and I hope I will get to travel again with him soon."

Get in TouchA Female’s Strongest Weapon Against Aggressive Male Jaguars: Love
A female Jaguar will very frequently engage in non-reproductive mating while already pregnant or still nursing her cubs. She will actively call for males under these conditions and may stay away from her den for as long as five days. This behavior might explain why infanticide is uncommon among Jaguars. By luring the males away from den sites and mating with as many males as possible, female Jaguars succeed in confusing the paternity of, and guaranteeing overall protection for, her offspring.
